The Wedding Ringer Review - 4/10
Kevin Hart is one of my favorite stand up comedians. As far as his films are concerned, the only one I can think of that I liked was "Think like a Man" and "Ride Along."
The premise is simple, Kevin Hart's character runs a business and pretends to be a grooms best man. He has a variety of different packages for sale. In this particular case, our groom purchases the "Golden Tux" package. He must bring together 7 groomsmen as well as attend and help with the wedding preparations.
Josh Gad plays the groom to be and I've always found him funny but here he doesn't bring to the table what I expected. While he has some funny lines and a bit of physical comedy, he wasn't up to par from what I've seen previously.
The story plays out very predictable and while the characters aren't unlikeable, they aren't really people you care about. Having no expectations and still not feeling very entertained I can only give this movie a 4/10.
